You Can Do It (2-16-09)

In today’s society “You Can Do It” has become the anthem of positive thinking. I think I have displayed more than most a resolve to obtain a positive outcome. Yet are we really dealing with faith or some exercise in psychological masturbation? Man is not an honest creature about his carnal nature or his fallen state. We are in complete need of grace. A gift from God that has no attachment to merit. Here is a quote from a Mr. G. S. Bishop that I think sums up the truth well:

“Grace is a provision for men who are so fallen that they cannot lift the axe of justice, so corrupt that they cannot change their own natures, so averse to God that they cannot turn to Him, so blind that they cannot see Him, so deaf that they cannot hear Him, and so dead that He Himself must open their graves and lift them into resurrection.”

I don’t want to be the one to cajole you into a positive thought but I do hope to point you to an appreciation of this wonderful gift. Can you imagine this gracious God allowing Dorean, the FBI, con men, or the devil himself to hurt you? Have we put so little thought into what is truly positive that we use a vocabulary of doubt? Things will go well for those of you who are chosen because of God’s attributes. Even clients who are haters of God will benefit by us who will be blessed. (See dialog over Sodom between Abraham and God Gen. 18) Be encouraged and do not fret He who can lift us from our graves can lift us from our despair.

I feel so much better now, knowing that even the Fuhrer was given bad advice. Maybe that's why he lost the war. The Fuhrer quits too!!!!

Washington - Freddie Mac, facing mounting damage from the U.S. housing crisis, said Wednesday it will ask the government for nearly $31 billion in additional aid after posting a gargantuan loss of more than $50 billion last year.

The report comes just weeks after Fannie Mae, a sister company, said it would need more than $15 billion in government assistance after losing almost $60 billion last year.

The two companies, which were seized by the government last fall, are critical to the health of the U.S. real estate market. Together, Fannie and Freddie own or guarantee almost 31 million home loans worth about $5.5 trillion - more than half of all U.S. home loans.

The Treasury Department has pledged up to $400 billion in aid for the duo. But as losses mount, many analysts see the companies remaining under government control, perhaps indefinitely.

"We absorbed heavy financial losses," said Chief Executive David Moffett, who is stepping down this week after six months on the job. "But we also provided vital liquidity to the strapped housing market."

John Koskinen, a member of Freddie's board of directors, will temporarily replace Moffett as the top executive, the company said Wednesday. Koskinen is a corporate restructuring expert who spent two years directing planning for the "Year 2000" computer conversion.

The interim CEO has his work cut out for him.

Freddie's request for $30.8 billion in federal aid comes on top of $13.8 billion the McLean, Va.-based company received last year. Freddie Mac was forced to go back, hat-in-hand, because its net worth - the value of its assets minus the value of its liabilities - fell below zero.

The recent loss was driven by $13.2 billion in hedged trades, $7.2 billion in credit losses from the declining housing market conditions and $7.5 billion in writedowns of the value of its mortgage-backed securities. The company also took a charge of $8.3 billion for now-worthless tax credits.

Fannie and Freddie are both being called upon to advance President Barack Obama's agenda of helping up to 9 million borrowers avoid foreclosure through refinanced mortgages or loans that are modified to lower monthly payments.

Still, the faltering economy, driven down by the collapse of the housing bubble, is causing the housing crisis to spread. Nearly 12 percent of all Americans with a mortgage - a record 5.4 million homeowners - were at least one month late or in foreclosure at the end of last year, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Freddie Mac said that 1.7 percent of the single-family loans it owns or guarantees were delinquent at the end of the December, up from 1.2 percent in September and 0.65 percent a year earlier. The number of foreclosed properties owned by the company grew to more than 29,000, about double their level at the end of 2007.

Prepare Vigilante Justice for the Money People
Please indulge me for a second and follow this:

One
Ten
One Hundred
One Thousand
Ten Thousand
One Hundred Thousand
One Million
Ten Million
One Hundred Million
One Billion
Ten Billion
One Hundred Billion
One Trillion. . . . .

You with me so far? I'll continue. . . . .

Ten Trillion
One Hundred Trillion
One Quadrillion . . . . .

The reason for this little exercise is simple. According to the Bank of International Settlements, Derivatives contracts in the world have now reached a value of. . . . . . . . .
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT QUADRILLION DOLLARS

Why is this important? Because 95% of those derivatives are on "margin." Credit.

The economy of this planet is margined so far beyond any ability to pay that it will collapse under its own weight and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.

Who got us here? The Money People. The "masters-of-the-universe."

When it all comes crashing down, and it most assuredly will, what will this mean to you? The loss of absolutely everything. All your savings, all your reirement money (pension, IRA, 401K) your stocks, bonds, money market accounts, . . . . . everything.

You and me will be left absolutely destitute. Broke. Unable to buy or sell anything. Unable to get food to eat, gas to drive or medical care. . . . . it will all be gone.

So I pose this question: When this happens - and it is coming - what will you be prepared to do?

Speaking for myself, I can envision picking up a gun, walking up to some derivatives people and dispensing vigilante justice. Brutally. Mercilessly. Without shame or guilt.

If they destroy my life, I have an absolute right - and duty - to destroy theirs.

I put this idea of brutal vigilantism into the public consciousness because the number of us who will be wiped out is a million times more than those who caused this mess. We literally have them all surrounded. We outnumber them and outgun them; and their security forces.

I want to plant this seed in your mind so that when the shit hits the fan, you know what needs to happen.

Trust me when I tell you that if enough of us take out enough of them, mercilessly and brutally, we will send a message that will resound for a thousand years: Don't ever do what they did or you will get what they got. No doubts. No second guessing. No excuses. Just gone.

Think about it as you read the full details of our dire situation at the link below. Then prepare yourself mentally for what is coming and what needs to happen when it comes.
